Tucked just west of Corpus Christi, the small city of Robstown, Texas has faced an uphill battle for years. While the rest of the country has seen job growth, Robstown’s employment has declined by over 6%. With an average unemployment rate of 8.1%—nearly double the state’s—the local economy has struggled to keep pace. As opportunities have dwindled, residents have slowly begun to leave, even as Texas remains one of the fastest-growing states in the nation. This isn’t just about statistics—it’s about families, futures, and a city trying to reclaim its strength

The Time to Act is Now

In 2019, Robstown was labeled “The Worst City to Live in Texas” by USA Today, citing staggering unemployment, a 35% poverty rate, and rising violent crime. This came just two years after being listed among the most violent cities in Texas by the FBI. And yet, Robstown is far from hopeless. Community leaders, educators, and everyday residents have been working tirelessly to shift the narrative—from grassroots educational programs to police reform. But they can’t do it alone. Robstown needs champions. People who care. People like you. Now is the time to help turn the tide—by supporting initiatives that uplift, empower, and invest in the next generation.

Empowering Youth 

In a community where safe, nurturing spaces for youth are scarce, our programs aim to fill that critical gap. We are committed to fostering environments where young people feel a deep sense of belonging, purpose, and possibility. By focusing on academic support, mentorship, and personal development, we help youth build confidence, resilience, and the tools they need to thrive as responsible, empowered citizens. Currently, no other facility in the area offers consistent, structured programming for seniors, parents, or youth—including after-school and summer programs. Our initiative stands as a beacon of hope, ready to serve and uplift the entire community through inclusive, impactful services.
